  • 8 years’ experience within a Technical Support environment
  • 3-5 years’ hands-on administering experience with WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) and/or IBM Integration Bus (IIB)
  • 3-5 years’ hands-on administering experience with IBM MQ v9+
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing multi-instance, High Availability and Multi Site Failover solutions
  • Strong experience in Midrange (AIX, Linux) concepts, administration and shell scripting
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with peers, management, clients, and partners
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.


  • Ensure system software availability and performance
  • Plan and execute Backup and archiving schedule
  • Provide system software documentation
  • Forecast system software usage and growth
  • Define operating procedures
  • Provide System software performance report
  • Designing, installing, configuring and maintaining system software in support of business processing requirements
  • Assessing, scheduling and performing upgrades and patches
  • Monitoring and tuning the system software to achieve optimum performance levels, efficiency and reliability
  • Defining and implementing backup schedules and archiving solutions
  • Diagnosing and resolving system software problems
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive configuration database/library of all supporting documentation
  • Ensuring appropriate level of technology, operating system and system software currency for existing and future business needs
  • Defining implementation plan details as they relate to system software components
  • Establishing and ensuring compliance with operating procedures for system software.
