As part as Business transformation team the Process Optimization Analyst will provide internal consulting services to assist various business partners' in formulating strategies, optimizing business processes, analyzing data and defining high-level requirements for information system solutions in order to ease business partners' transition towards the implementation phase of their projects. 


  • University degree in fields such as Commerce, MIS, Computer Science, Management Science or Engineering (Master's degree is an asset)
  • Solid 5 to 7 years’ experience in a consulting, process optimization, business analyst or project management role, having been involved both as a facilitator and a coach to the business
  • Participated in the implementation of a continuous improvement mindset within an organization
  • Strong business acumen and technology-savvy
  • Experience using Lean Six Sigma
  • Superior analytical and problem solving abilities (data mining, trend analysis)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Access, VBA, SharePoint, Visio, Word)
  • Excellent leadership qualities (autonomous, quick learner, self-motivated)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingualism with high proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Availability to travel to various locations in Canada and US (10 to 50% of time)
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners from various fields of activity and seniority levels across the company
  • Experience using Lean Six Sigma


  • Conduct field interviews and meetings with project sponsors and key stakeholders from across the business (ex: Finance, Mechanical, Supply Management) to clarify business issues and underlying causes
  • Coordinate projects and workshops
  • Perform process reviews and identify improvement opportunities
  • Produce problem statements, project charters, process maps, gap analyses, high-level requirements
  • Develop queries, perform data analysis and identify trends
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and proof-of-concept
  • Perform benchmarking and best practices review
  • Develop recommendations based on thorough quantitative analysis and best practices
  • Present recommendations supported by detailed analysis to business partners
  • Provide implementation support by defining an implementation plan, supporting the IT team for high-level system requirements gathering, and interfacing with the business sponsors through roll-out
