Description

As a business analyst, you play a vital role of translator and facilitator between Business, IT and Quality Assurance. You will be part of a small squad with the sole purpose of creating and enhancing a digital product to the point where that product is the best product, not just in the insurance field, but the best product out there, period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in analysis (Business, Functional, Information)

Specific experiences - Assets strongly considered

  • Project experiences in Scrum mode
  • Experience and knowledge in the insurance field
  • Experience and knowledge of applications in a web environment or Mobile
  • Mastery of JIRA, Confluence & Draw.io
  • Knowledge of InVision, Abstract or Zeppelin
  • Experience Eliciting and writing requirements for a Client Self-Serve platform

Required qualities

  • Rigor in the quality of deliverables and in the follow-up of the files entrusted
  • Ability to learn environments and systems to be up and running quickly
  • Communication: summarize in a clear and concise manner, know how to adapt the level of language (verbal and written) and the content of the message according to the type of business or technical worker, demonstrate skills to work with people from different backgrounds, locally or remotely, in both French and English

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs to define IT solutions
  • Lead / prepare / participate in business requirements workshops to specify IT solutions
  • Make impact analysis and effort estimates to advocate, get approval, then document the IT solution using effective methods and interacting with both business users and the IT project team
  • Support the development of solutions and monitor velocity of the team
  • Support test Quality Assurance activities and User Acceptance Tests
  • Support Product Owners in handling their backlogs and prioritize work to be done
  • Document User Stories effectively so they can be clearly understood by Front End, Back End developers and Quality Assurance
  • Identify and convey the impacts on Business processes to support change management in Business units via train the trainer documents and procedures
  • Build a solid, reusable and thorough system documentation to be used by any stakeholders
